CPD TRAINING
Topic : Assess a Case of Neutropenia and Identify who needs urgent evaluation
(zoom link provided on registration)
Time: 6pm - 7:30pm
CPD Points: 3 Activity Points
Learning Outcomes:
1. Identify the various causes of neutropenia
2. Discuss the initial evaluation of a neutropenic patient and identify the red flags.
Why is this important now?
As the ageing population grows across Australia, encountering an episode of neutropenia is becoming more common. As the incidence and prevalence of various cancers increases, episodes of neutropenic fever grow in community and it is imperative GPs are aware of the red flags of neutropenia and the serious nature of neutropenic fever.
